About IRIX Network - History

The IRIX Network was founded in early 2017 by Raion and Praetor as an alternative to the mainstream
website for IRIX/SGI hobbyists at the time - Nekochan Net. Initially a few basic HTML pages and a phpbb
forum, as Nekochan Net faltered in 2018, it quickly grew into the station of the primary IRIX community.
Praetor left his position in mid-2019 permanently, but several of Nekochan Net's former staff, and most
active members have stepped up to the plate to help Raion run the community.

The community is centered around the forum and wiki, both of which are closely linked.
In the past, IRIX Network has operated a Discord and IRC chat, however, it was discontinued due to numerous issues.
but this was since removed from the mainstream due to numerous issues encountered. Currently, the forums are the sole discussion board.
